World Mental Health Day is observed annually on October 10th to raise awareness of mental health issues worldwide and to promote mental health advocacy. It’s a day for people and organizations to come together, share knowledge, and encourage efforts towards better mental well-being for all. The theme for each year focuses on different aspects of mental health, aiming to destigmatize and support those affected by mental health challenges.

This year, we are excited to organize the World Mental Health Day Reel Competition! It’s a fantastic opportunity for you to create and share a short, meaningful video (60 seconds or less) that highlights the importance of mental health. By participating, you’ll help spread awareness, share valuable insights, and support the global conversation around mental well-being. Plus, you can win exciting prizes!

How to Participate

Step 1: Register for the Competition​

  • Click the Register Now button below.
  • Pay the ₹50 registration fee.
  • Once registered, you’ll receive a confirmation email with all the competition details.

Step 2: Create Your Reel

Theme: Your reel must focus on World Mental Health Day.

Here are some ideas to get you started:

  • Share mental health tips that helped you.
  • Create a personal story related to mental health and well-being.
  • Explain why mental health awareness is important.

Make sure your video is 60 seconds or less and that it’s engaging and informative!

Step 3: Post Your Reel on Instagram

  • Post the reel on your Instagram account.
  • Tag us in your reel: @DevaInstitute so we can find and review your entry.

Use the hashtags: #DevaMentalHealthReelContest and #WorldMentalHealthDay in the caption.

Step 4: Share & Spread Awareness

  • Share our Instagram profile with at least 5 friends and ask them to follow @DevaInstitute.
  • Encourage them to watch your reel and support mental health awareness!

Step 5: Engage with Others

  • Engage with other participants’ reels by liking, commenting, and sharing them.
  • The more meaningful your engagement, the better!

Step 6: Win Prizes!

  • The top three winners will receive:
    • ₹15,000 for 1st place.
    • ₹10,000 for 2nd place.
    • ₹5,000 for 3rd place.
  • All participants will receive a certificate of appreciation via email.
  • Winners will be announced on 10th October.

World Mental Health Day Reel Competition Rules

  1. Eligibility:
  • The competition is open to all Indian residents aged 18 and above.
  • Both content creators and regular Instagram users are eligible to participate.
  • A ₹50 registration fee is required to enter the competition.
  1. Registration Process:
  • Participants must register through the official landing page and pay the ₹50 entry fee.
  • Only participants who have completed the registration process will be eligible to win the prizes.
  1. Reel Creation Guidelines:
  • The reel must be original and cantered around the theme of World Mental Health Day (10th October) – “It is Time to Prioritize Mental Health in Workplace”.
  • The video can focus on awareness, mental health tips, personal experiences, or any topic that supports the theme of mental health.
  • The video should not exceed 60 seconds in length.
  • Explicit or offensive content is strictly prohibited, and such entries will be disqualified.
  • Participants must ensure that the content is their own and does not infringe on copyright or any third-party rights.
  1. Posting Requirements:
  • Participants must post the reel on their Instagram account by 10th October.
  • The reel must be posted as a public post so the judges and viewers can access it.
  • Tag the official Instagram account of Deva Institute in the reel.
  • Participants must also share the Deva Institute Instagram profile with 5 people and ask them to follow the page.
  • The caption should include #DevaMentalHealthReelContest and #WorldMentalHealthDay to ensure visibility and tracking.
  1. Judging Criteria:
  • Content quality: 40% (Relevance to the theme, originality, clarity of message).
  • Creativity: 30% (Innovative ideas, unique perspective on mental health).
  • Engagement: 10% (Genuine likes, shares, comments).
  • Impact: 20% (How well the reel raises awareness or educates the audience on mental health).
  1. Winner Selection:
  • First prize: ₹15,000 for the most informative and creative reel.
  • Second prize: ₹10,000 for the second-best reel.
  • Third prize: ₹5,000 for the third-best reel.
  • All participants will receive a certificate of appreciation via email.
  • Winners will be announced on the Deva Institute Instagram account and contacted via email/DM.
  1. Authenticity Check:
  • Use of fake likes, comments, or followers will result in disqualification. The authenticity of engagement will be checked by reviewing profiles, comments, and using tools to assess engagement quality.
  1. Disqualification:
  • Failure to follow any of the competition guidelines will result in disqualification.
  • Posting inappropriate, hateful, or plagiarized content will also result in immediate disqualification.
  1. Intellectual Property:
  • By entering the competition, participants grant Deva Institute the right to use their reel for marketing and promotional purposes.
  1. Deadline:

Reels must be posted and tagged on Instagram by 11:59 PM on 14th October. 

  1. Prizes will be announced on 15th October.
